We recognise each trade is different and our policies are designed for the majority of tradesmen.

Our Comprehensive policies will keep you going when things go wrong:

– Public Liability – Public Liability Insurance covers the legal and compensation costs you are required to pay if a member of the public makes a claim against your business should you accidentally injure them or damage their property. We can offer cover from £1,000,000 – £10,000,000 Public Liability with the option of an excess layer policy should you require more than this.

– Employers Liability – It is a legal requirement for you to hold this insurance if you have employees, this includes apprentices and trainees. Employers’ liability covers you in the event of injury, illness or death to your employees arising from their employment. All of our insurers offer a minimum of £10,000,000 Cover.

– Contract Works – This is designed to cover works that are underway on site. Should the works be damaged by an insured event such as storm, flood, fire etc then this section would cover to repair or reinstate the works as they were before the loss.

– Tools Cover – We appreciate that if tradesmen do not have tools, they cannot trade. All of our polices have the option to include portable hand tools cover. In the unfortunate event of your tools being stolen on site or at your business premises then our insurers will pay to replace them up to a certain limit. This cover can also be extended to include tools being covered in your van overnight.

– Own Plant – Own Plant cover’s larger items owned by the business such as mini diggers, excavators, cement mixers etc. Items such as tool kits would come under portable hand tools. Own plant can be included, which would then cover other insured perils such as Fire.

– Hired in Plant – Hired in Plant covers larger items that you have hired in from a third party for a short period of time. If something should happen to the machinery used by your business whilst on hire caused by an insured event such as theft or fire then our insurers will cover the cost of replacing it up to the limit you select on your policy.

– Commercial Legal Expenses – Legal expenses covers the legal costs of providing specialist solicitors for advice and for taking action against many legal problems such as tax disputes or disputes with clients. Legal Expenses cover can only be used if there is a 51% chance that the claim will succeed.
